Life soon took them on different paths. Mike moved to Hoboken to work in New York City while Jen ventured to the vibrant streets of Washington, D.C. Despite the miles that separated them, their love only grew stronger. Their relationship faced its greatest test as they embarked on a three-year long-distance journey, but through it all, their unwavering commitment and love for each other conquered all obstacles.

As Jen began her journey into law school, they decided to move to Long Island, NY. In the midst of their shared dreams and aspirations, they welcomed a furry addition to their family: Hunter, their beloved foster dog. Hunter soon became a part of the Reynolds family, completing the picture of love and togetherness they had always dreamed of.

On the Friday of Memorial Day weekend in 2023, the sun dipped low on the horizon, casting a warm, golden glow over the bay in Mantoloking, New Jersey. It was a day of great anticipation, a day when Mike would finally get down on one knee and ask Jen to marry him.

They stood at his family's bayfront home, a place that held a treasure trove of memories from their years together. It was a place that had witnessed their love, laughter, shared dreams, and countless sunsets that painted the sky with hues of orange and pink.

But the magic didn't end there. Little did Jen know, her family had been hiding, waiting for the perfect moment to join this beautiful scene. As Mike asked those four life-changing words, "Will you marry me?" Jen's family emerged from their hiding spot, a wave of love and joy surging over her.
